Registered Nurse / Operating Room (First Assistant)

Job Description

Job Summary:
A Certified First Surgical Assistant position is available in Asheville, North Carolina, within a busy operating room environment. The role involves supporting surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, gynecology, general surgery, robotics, and vascular operations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This is a full-time position scheduled for days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Location: Asheville, North Carolina
  • Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Certified First Assistant (CFA), RN First Assistant (RNFA)
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications listed above, relevant clinical experience, current licensure, and ability to assist on orthopedic trauma, spine, neuro, gynecology, robotics, and vascular surgeries
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and skills to assist surgeons during a broad range of procedures, experience with Da Vinci Robots, Mako, and Velys Robots, familiarity with Cerner documentation system
  • Additional Information: Unit staffing includes secretaries and technicians; standard OR equipment with advanced robotic technology; flexible scheduling with call requirements; patient experience standards apply.
  • Position Type: Full-time, days only; one position available.
