Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Surgeon (Open Heart) at a healthcare facility located in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves providing specialized surgical care for cardiovascular (open-heart) cases and supporting general operating room procedures as needed. The position requires a highly skilled professional with experience in cardiovascular surgery and clinical excellence, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), two years of experience in operating room open heart specialty, CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) and EPIC charting experience required, at least one year of related nursing experience preferred, RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license, BLS certification (AHA only)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting cardiovascular (open-heart) cases, ability to support general OR procedures, strong knowledge of EPIC and CVOR processes
• Additional Information: Competent in practicing independently within the clinical setting, demonstrating proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with an emphasis on complex care for cardiac patients. Provides patient education and addresses emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
