Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse is based in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This position involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, focusing on adult patient care within a medical-surgical unit. The role requires candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day and to have at least two years of current intermediate (step-down) experience. The position is scheduled for days shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); minimum of 2 years of current intermediate (step-down) nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Teaching hospital experience; EMR experience with Epic and Cerner systems.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable working with intermediate care patients and meet the clinical demands of a trauma and teaching hospital environment. They must be willing to float within their scope of practice as needed and accept the scheduled floating requirements.
