Registered Nurse / Post Partum Floor

Job Summary:
The Postpartum Floor registered nurse position is located in Austin, Texas. This contract role involves providing specialized care in a 24-bed postpartum unit with a high-volume birth rate, supporting Level IV maternal services. The position is suitable for qualified nurses seeking a 13-week assignment offering night shifts and an opportunity to work within a dynamic and professional environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, Texas
• Shift: Nights (12 hours)
• Hours Per Week: Minimum of 36 hours
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, at least 1 year of relevant experience, experience in L&D or postpartum nursing preferred, current NRP Advanced Provider certification required (not the Essentials)
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shift times, minimum 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratios: Typically 3:1 or 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity
• Unit Description: A 24-bed postpartum unit with Level IV maternal and Level III NICU services, handling approximately 12,000 births annually, specializing in postpartum and antepartum care
• Procedures Performed: Non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin and magnesium drips, heparin infusions
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs preferred; specific dress code policies to be followed
