Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is sought for a 13-week assignment starting on 07/13/2026. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring patient safety. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

• Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification prior to first shift. Certification and education requirements include licensure as a registered nurse, with a minimum of 0 years of experience explicitly required, though a minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
• Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning, providing patient and family education, documenting assessments and interventions timely and accurately, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• The nurse will also provide supervision and training to ancillary nursing personnel, contribute to a safe environment, and participate in team building activities.
• The role may include charge responsibilities following an orientation period, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.
• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: This position emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and quality outcomes while following all hospital guidelines related to personal appearance, attendance, punctuality, and safety practices.
