Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in obstetric and postpartum care in Salem, Massachusetts. This night shift position involves providing comprehensive care in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Unit, with responsibilities spanning active labor management, postpartum care, and neonatal support. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality maternal and infant health services.
Job Details:
- Location: Salem, Massachusetts
- Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: Night shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) every 2 years, 3 years of minimum experience in labor and delivery nursing

- Certifications: Current Massachusetts RN License, AHA BLS, NRP, EFM (every 2 years for Labor & Delivery)
- Unit Description: 25-Bed Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit including L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 Antepartum Rooms with 4 beds.
- Patient Ratios: L&D 1:2-3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor, magnesium infusion or epidural; postpartum 1:3-4 patients
- Clinical Environment: EPIC charting system; no floating required
- Rotating Shifts: Primarily a day position with rotation to evenings and nights as needed; cannot offer straight days
- Additional Information: AHA ACLS (preferred)
