Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Salem, Massachusetts. This rotation-based position involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a 25-bed Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit. The role includes shifts alternating between day, evening, and night hours, with responsibilities spanning active labor, postpartum care, newborn care, and the operation of surgical rooms and recovery areas.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, evening, and night rotation shifts, primarily a day position with rotation to evenings and nights as needed. The position requires a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN License; BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certifications valid every 2 years for Labor & Delivery; minimum of 3 years of related experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Preferred Qualifications: American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Additional Information: A 25-bed Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit with a census averaging 15-25 mothers and babies daily. The unit features 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 12 Postpartum beds, 2 operating rooms, and 2 recovery rooms with 4 beds. Staff operate using the EPIC electronic charting system. Float rotation is not required.
