Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Days - Located in Marion, Illinois. This position involves working on a 36-bed medical/surgical/orthopedic unit with staffing ratios of 1:5 with a CNA, and 1:4 during staffing shortages. The role requires confident, independent clinical skills and the ability to manage change effectively. The start date is scheduled for August 24, 2026, with a contract length of 13 weeks, providing a consistent schedule of 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Job Details:

• Location: 3333 W Deyoung St, Marion, Illinois, 62959
• Shift Requirements: 12-hour days (7:00 am - 7:30 pm)
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending licenses or temp licenses), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical experience, EPIC charting experience required, associate degree or certificate in nursing, minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree in nursing
• Float Requirements: Float to Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit for medical holds only
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: none
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Interview Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Interview Types: MSP Interview
• Unit Information: 36-bed Medical Surgical and Orthopedic unit with patient ratios of 1:5 with a CNA, and staffing flexibility with ratios as low as 1:4 when needed.
• Additional Information: Must be a hard worker, resilient, capable of managing change, and socially adept.
