Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Battle Creek, Michigan. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, conducting nursing assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans. The RN will supervise nursing staff, ensure safety protocols are followed, and participate actively in patient discharge planning.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts with a total of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification prior to first shift; valid ACLS certification prior to first shift (if CIRH only); a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; educational background includes relevant nursing degree and licensure as a registered nurse.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit; proficiency in patient assessment and team collaboration.
  • Additional Information: Performs a nursing assessment within 8 hours of patient admission, develops and updates individualized care plans, and participates in patient education and discharge planning. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively, delegate appropriately, and maintain safety standards for patients, staff, and self. Contributes to team efficiency and maintains professional development through ongoing education.
