Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in an acute care facility located in Saint Louis, MO. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with rotating start times as needed, focusing primarily on complex cardiac and thoracic cases, including transplant procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotating start times as needed.
• Required Qualifications: BLS and ACLS certifications; 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse with open heart, thoracic, and vascular surgery experience; candidates must have experience in cardiac and thoracic cases, including transplant procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree preferred; scrub and circulate experience required; experience with epic charting system and trauma Level I setting preferred.
• Float: Will float within service line to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The role involves fast-paced, high-acuity perioperative care focusing on emergent cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, including transplant procedures. The assignment begins on 08/31/2026, and candidates must meet all compliance and licensing requirements prior to start date. There is a maximum RTO of 7 days, and parking is available with orientation provided.
