Registered Nurse / Operating Room (First Assistant)

Job Summary:
The location in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist for a pediatric operating room setting. The successful candidate must have the ability to scrub and circulate, with a minimum of two years of hands-on pediatric knowledge and skill. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid RN license; minimum of 2 years pediatric clinical experience; ability to scrub and circulate in pediatric surgeries.
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, with rotating day, mid, and night shifts, including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts. The shift times are days, evenings, and nights, with weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements as needed.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, pediatric surgical experience of 2 years, ability to scrub and circulate, vaccinations including FLU.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: In a 6-week period, RNs are required to take three weekday call shifts (1730 - 0700) and one weekend call shift (0700-0700, Saturday or Sunday). Parking is provided with a parking pass, and dress code is scrubs.
