Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Specialty in Open Heart procedures is available in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves assisting with surgical preparations, maintaining sterile environments, and supporting surgical teams in cardiothoracic interventions. The position requires a dedicated health care professional with experience in the OR setting, specifically in open heart surgeries.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and at least 2 years of experience in the operating room.
• Experience in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) procedures and minimum 2 years Neurosurgery experience is required. Experience in general, orthopedics, plastics, urology, ENT, and vascular surgery is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to proficiently scrub in three specialty areas including but not limited to Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Ribs, Robotics, etc. Highly preferred.
• The role involves establishing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, suturing, and assisting physicians as directed.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, ensure adherence to aseptic techniques, and follow facility policies regarding decontamination and sterilization procedures.
• Familiarity with facility protocols for infection control, surgical environment monitoring, and patient safety practices is essential.
