Job Summary
Operating Room Specialist with expertise in open heart procedures is sought for a facility located in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves supporting various surgical specialties, including neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, ENT, and vascular surgery. The position requires adherence to strict aseptic techniques and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care during surgical interventions.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 08/24/2026.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program; at least 2 years of surgical experience including CVOR, Neurosurgery preferred; BLS certification (AHA); Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in general, orthopedic, plastic, urology, ENT, and vascular surgery.
• Responsibilities: Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, maintain sterile environment, transport patients to and from operating rooms, set up surgical instruments and supplies, monitor biological specimens, and adhere to facility policies and procedures. Ensure safety and infection control standards, support team planning, and maintain patient comfort and privacy throughout the surgical process.
• Additional Information: The role involves working closely with surgical teams, managing sterile fields, and ensuring a safe surgical environment. Candidate must be proficient in using surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, with experience in multiple surgical specialties highly preferred.
