Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Registered Nurse (RN) for a role in Lewisville, Texas. This position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and involves working in a highly specialized cardiac surgical environment. The successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced unit.

Job Details:

• Location: Lewisville, TX
• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with rotating call
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN experience, certification relevant to cardiac surgery, and current licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with over 5 years of CVOR RN experience will be considered first.
• Responsibilities include assisting with procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABGs), Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), and Mitral Valve Repair (MVR).
• Unit Details: The unit has 7 operating rooms, including a CVOR and a vascular hybrid room. Staffing includes 1 RN and 1 Certified Scrub Technician (CST).
• Equipment: The unit utilizes Meditech electronic medical records (EMR).
• Float: Float rotation may be required as needed for the main operating room.
