Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) position at a hospital located in Washington, Missouri. The role involves providing specialized intensive care to patients within the ICU. The selected candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure with Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card, ACLS, BLS certifications; 2+ years of experience; location in Missouri; ability to work nights; and available for a 13-week contract.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with critical care procedures, post-stroke care, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), Bipap management, ventilated patient care, Airvos equipment, recognition of patient deterioration.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
  • Additional Information: The position requires a self-starter attitude with teamwork focus. Scrub dress code in black, professional attire only. Must be willing to work Thanksgiving. The unit cares for medical, basic cardiac, and neuro patients, with an average patient ratio of 2-3:1 along with ventilated patients needing advanced respiratory management.
