Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in medical surgical oncology is sought for a position in Denver, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions, assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care, as well as executing delegated medical tasks in accordance with state practice standards. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Denver, Colorado
  • Shift Time: Nights
  • Schedule: 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited School of Nursing; current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications as appropriate for the unit or service.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree of Nursing; additional certifications relevant to the unit or service; previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role involves health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, resource utilization, documentation, delegation, supervision, and consultation. The nurse may be required to float to other departments based on business needs and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
