Registered Nurse / Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery

Job Summary:
The location is in San Luis Obispo, California. This Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery (L&D) position involves providing leadership within a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role entails supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining safety standards.

Job Details:

• Location: San Luis Obispo, California
• Specialty: Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, scheduled based on department needs, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); five years technical experience (preferred); supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills (required)
• Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in nursing; clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification; CPR certification from approved vendor per AH policy
• Additional Information: This is a leadership position with administrative responsibilities in addition to clinical duties; the role involves developing and overseeing patient care strategies, staff supervision, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. All required vaccinations are mandated as a condition of employment.
