Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary:
The Step Down Unit registered nurse position is based in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in a specialized unit that caters to patients requiring close monitoring and transitional care from intensive care. The position offers an opportunity to work with a highly recognized healthcare provider dedicated to clinical excellence and patient safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in North Carolina, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent, 16 years of total experience in healthcare, and at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in a step-down or similar setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records, familiarity with patient care protocols in a step-down environment, and relevant certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
- Additional Information: The role requires adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and safety standards. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate competency in patient assessment, medication administration, and emergency response protocols.
