Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations within a busy acute care setting. The position requires a skilled clinician capable of managing complex patient cases and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, ACLS certification, BLS certification, CPI certification, NIHSS certification, BSN degree, and a Missouri or compact state license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous trauma level I experience, community hospital experience, and travel experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the service line.
• Additional Information:
  • Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required.
  • Experience managing trauma, orthopedic trauma, surgical drains, wound vacs, chest tubes, and care of geriatric trauma patients aged 55 and above.
  • Covering a unit with approximately 50-55 patients daily in a short-term acute care facility.
  • Unit staffed with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation.
  • Parking available with options for monthly passes; orientation parking information provided.
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required with exemptions for medical/religious reasons.
  • No RTO beyond 7 days per 13-week contract; no additional schedule requests post-submission or post-start.
  • Must meet compliance deadlines and complete required modules prior to start.
