Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This role involves working in an acute care setting within the Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR) unit, supporting the care of adult cardiac patients through procedures such as peripheral and cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and device placements. Candidates must bring their professional license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in the Cath Lab.

Job Details:

  • Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
  • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL)
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with four 10-hour days and 10-11 call shifts per month, including weekends and holidays
  • Required Qualifications: WV License/ARRT certification, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), minimum 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab, experience with EPIC & XperCharge systems, and familiarity with the Acist injector and IABP, IVUS procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICDs, pacers, and adult cardiac procedures; familiarity with Cupid EMR and Dynamics System.
  • Additional Information: The team consists of 2 registered nurses and 1 technologist, with responsibilities including medication administration, monitoring, and assisting with procedures. The role may require float to non-invasive cardiovascular areas and adherence to specific scrub colors (Navy Blue for RN, Burgundy for Rad Tech). Vents are maintained in the control room, and on-call cardiology coverage is 24/7.
  • Certifications Required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in the Cath Lab
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility, hold an unexpired drivers license, and have no recent permanent or traveling assignment overlaps as specified. All submissions must include an unexpired license copy and discloser of any background hits.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0700-1530, with 4 days per week, including call shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Additional Notes: Specific orientation includes 2 shifts with a preceptor and potential float to non-invasive CV. Common cases involve adult cardiac procedures, with some cases exclusive to adult patients.
