Operating Room Tech / Operating Room (First Assistant)

Job Summary:
Operating Room (First Assistant) position is based in Brooksville, Florida. The role involves providing direct surgical support, including positioning and prepping patients, controlling bleeding, suturing, and collaborating with surgical teams. The position requires the ability to independently perform vein harvesting and involves day shifts with scheduled call responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026.
• Required Qualifications: EVH (Endovenous Laser Ablation) certification through NSAA (National Surgical Assistant Association) or ABSA (American Board of Surgical Assistants) required; Vein Harvesting experience is mandatory; BLS (Basic Life Support), CFSA (Certified First Surgical Assistant) through CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools), and NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification are required; Three years of cardiovascular experience is required.
• Additional Information: No local candidates from within a 60-mile radius; the candidate must be able to independently perform vein harvesting. The role includes covering the surgical tech responsibilities as needed throughout the week, supporting surgeons during procedures, prepping patients, managing surgical instruments, and ensuring post-operative patient care.
