Registered Nurse / Administration

Job Summary:
The healthcare facility in Wausau, Wisconsin, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in administration for a position within their Admission and Transfer Center. This role involves coordinating patient transfers, admissions, and discharges across multiple hospitals and emphasizing communication, critical thinking, and adherence to protocols to ensure optimal patient flow and safety. The position offers a dynamic and operational environment requiring strong clinical judgment and collaboration skills.

Job Details:

• Position: Administration RN in the Admission and Transfer Center
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days and nights, with variable start times, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 3-5 years ICU or Emergency Room experience (5 years preferred), Trauma Level II experience required, Epic charting experience required, associate degree or certificate
• Preferred Qualifications: Transfer call center experience highly preferred
• Shift Notes: 12-hour shifts; days or nights; variable start times (7am, 11am, 1pm, 7pm)
• Additional Information:
  • Two RNs working night shifts; 2-4 RNs working day shifts
  • Scrub colors: any color or business casual
  • Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; travelers may be put on call during these hours and will have call back pay if called back
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week
  • During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times; compliance is mandatory
