Registered Nurse / Wound Care

Job Summary:

The organization is seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a position located in Salem, Virginia. This role involves consulting on inpatient wound patients, providing wound care recommendations, including photos and measurements, performing new ostomy teaching, and managing complex wound vacuums and fistulas. The RN will operate autonomously in a hospital setting, with a focus on delivering specialized wound care services.

Job Details:

• Location: 1900 Electric Road, Salem, Virginia, 24153
• Position Type: Travel RN - Wound Care
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license with Wound Care certification such as Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN), minimum of 2 years of related experience, ability to function independently, advanced skills in wound procedures, and experience with wound vacuums and fistula management
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with new ostomy teaching, managing difficult wound vacs, and working autonomously in a clinical environment
• Additional Information: The role requires consulting on wound care and documentation, utilizing hospital-specific policies and procedures, and working with equipment and technology related to wound management
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
