Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Franklin, Indiana. This critical care position involves providing patient care in a busy emergency department with approximately 60 patients per day. The role requires a committed professional capable of managing diverse cases, including abdominal pain, altered mental status, stroke, chest pain, and pediatric to geriatric patients. The nurse will work night shifts as part of a 12-hour schedule, ensuring optimal patient outcomes within a high-acuity setting.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room experience; valid licensure to work in Indiana; proficiency in IV placement, EKG rhythm interpretation, and patient assessment
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC and ENPC certifications
• Float: Possibility of float to other units; secondary to staffing needs
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for managing patient care in a 26-bed emergency department equipped with trauma bays and treatment areas. The unit operates with 1 nurse to 4 patients in a fast-paced environment, including handling breathing treatments, ABGs, intubations, and utilizing telemonitoring and radiology services. Staff will undergo 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor prior to start. Punctuality and full commitment to the contract are essential.
