Registered Nurse / Lactation Specialist

Job Summary:
Lactation Specialist in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This position involves providing expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning, and leadership oversight for optimal lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires active collaboration with the care team to formulate interdisciplinary plans of care for patients with advanced lactation support needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Massachusetts licensed Lactation Specialist or equivalent certification, minimum of 1 year of experience as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (BCLC) or equivalent certification, at least 2,500 hours as a breastfeeding consultant, inpatient lactation program experience, outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education or consultation experience, and Meditech Expanse experience preferred.
• Certifications: Active BLS (American Heart Association).
• State Licenses: Massachusetts.
• Profile Requirements: All required certifications and licenses must be included and active at profile upload. Work history, skills checklist pertinent to lactation consultation, and supervisory reference from within the past two years are required. Perm address must be included with profile.
• Additional Information: This position is open to qualified candidates who own their own vehicle. All scheduling requests, including requested time off, must be included at the time of submission; requests made after offer may be rescinded. Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not considered. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
