Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse in Fort Worth, Texas. This inpatient rehabilitation role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic conditions. The position emphasizes clinical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn specialized documentation and patient mobilization techniques in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license for Texas; minimum 2 years of nursing experience; experience in inpatient hospital medical-surgical, stepdown critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing; BLS certification; willingness to learn rehabilitation patient mobilization and documentation skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic adult patient populations; prior acute rehab experience; long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing background.
- Float: Float to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing procedures such as urinary catheterization, IV insertions, blood administration, wound and dressing changes, surgical drain removal, suture and staple removal, and other medical-surgical nursing tasks. Consistent adherence to dress code and PPE requirements is expected. Candidate must be prepared to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
