Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric cardiovascular and open heart surgical patients in a busy pediatric operating room setting. The RN will support the surgical team by managing the operating room, assisting surgeons, monitoring vital signs, and delivering pre- and post-operative patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, working 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 1 year of current hospital Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN experience
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Pediatric experience
    • CVOR or Cardiac surgery experience
    • Ability to function in multiple service lines
  • Additional Information:
    • Manage the operating room, assist surgeons, monitor vital signs, and provide pre- and post-operative care for pediatric cardiac patients.
    • The role requires excellent teamwork, communication with staff and providers, and patient care skills.
    • The unit features new equipment and technology, experienced staff, and flexible scheduling options.
