Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular at a facility located in Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves providing high-acuity care for critically ill cardiac and neuro patients, including those requiring advanced interventions such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The role demands a highly motivated professional prepared to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test, at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, certification in the specialized field.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro/neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and critical care for COVID-19 patients, NIHSS certification.
• Additional Information: The unit capacity is 15 beds, serving patients with diagnoses including cardiac surgery/transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post-cardiopulmonary arrest, post-ventricular assist device placement. Patients range from adolescent to late adult (14-60+ years). Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2, with direct care provided by registered nurses and patient care technicians. The start date is 08/30/2026.
