Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care at a healthcare facility located in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role involves working in the intermediate care unit (ICU stepdown) with patients having complex surgical and medical needs, including those on ventilators, high flow oxygen, and bipap. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
• Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 2 years of experience preferred; Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, general surgery, thoracic surgery, kidney transplants, whipples procedures
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 32 beds, with patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4. The primary service includes surgical, trauma, and transplant cases, with patients on ventilators, high flow oxygen, and bipap.
