Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Washington, D.C. This position involves working in a fast-paced trauma environment where critical care skills are essential. The role includes managing patients with diverse needs such as urgent care, pediatric, psychiatric, and trauma cases, ensuring high standards of safety and quality of care while providing an excellent patient experience.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district; ER experience of at least 3 years; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree highly desired; Cerner experience required; current certifications including Nursing in the Intensive Care Unit, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); must be willing to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN and handle 1:5 ratios; must reside at least 50 miles away from the facilitytravelers preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with comprehensive trauma and critical care management, including medication titrations, arterial lines, blood transfusions, and chest tubes
  • Additional Information: The Emergency Department is a critical care environment managing patients with complex needs across various conditions. The nurse will coordinate and deliver high-quality, safe care to ensure positive patient outcomes and experiences.
