Registered Nurse / Pre Op Registered Nurses

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Preoperative Registered Nurse (RN) in San Francisco, California. This position involves providing pre-admission testing, patient education, and perioperative care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Candidates are required to bring their California Registered Nurse license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Certifications and Education: California RN license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required. Prior teaching hospital experience and travel experience within the past 12 months are preferred.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BSN degree, current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications, and at least 2 years of experience in preadmission testing or outpatient clinic settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience within 12 months and teaching hospital experience.
• Additional Information: Reassignment to different departments or facilities within a 75+ mile radius during the assignment may be required. Candidates must have proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, with scheduled appointment confirmation if booster has not yet been administered.
• Other Requirements: Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR), and the ability to float between units as needed.
