Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Surgical

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Surgical at this location in Albany, Georgia, is responsible for providing advanced critical care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. The role involves managing patients with neuro, ortho trauma, cardiovascular devices, and other high-acuity needs within a specialized ICU setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Albany, Georgia
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Surgical
• Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend
• Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
• Required Qualifications: Current license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, at least 2 years of ICU or Surgical ICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level 1-2 trauma centers, familiarity with neuro, ortho trauma, cardiovascular devices, and bedside CRRT management
• Additional Information: Strict 75 mile radius restriction applies to the assignment. The unit has 20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1, with some cases requiring 1:1. The unit will soon start an ECMO program. Experience with MEDITECH electronic medical records preferred.
