Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Scrub Technician located in Richmond, Virginia. The successful candidate will assist in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass, mediastinum procedures, thoracic surgeries including daVinci-assisted operations, open thoracotomy, Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS), ECMO initiation, and pericardial window procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Richmond, Virginia
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider, with proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass, mediastinal procedures, thoracic surgery including daVinci-assisted procedures, open thoracotomy, VATS, ECMO initiation, and pericardial window surgeries. Candidates must be able to take call; unit hours of operation are from 0630 to 1500, with call beginning at 1500. Weekend call requirements include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • The candidate must be able to work during the specified shift times and be flexible to participate in on-call rotations as needed.
  • The unit utilizes hospital-provided scrubs and has specific policies and guidelines which will need to be adhered to.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
