Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Med-Surgical and Telemetry Registered Nurse position in Albemarle, North Carolina. This role requires providing patient care across a variety of diagnoses including stroke, COPD, chest pain, and GI bleed, among others. The RN will work nights, rotating every other weekend, within a positive, team-driven unit that values a collaborative environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, 18 months of Med/Tele experience, and experience with stroke assessments and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous telemetry and stroke experience preferred; willingness to float regionally within scope of practice and to all listed facilities as needed
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the region and scope of practice
• Additional Information: The facility has 109 licensed beds, is an advanced primary stroke center, and supports a positive, team-oriented culture. Orientation includes two days of departmental training. Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays and can request up to 6 days off, excluding holidays, with additional time added at the end of the contract if needed. The unit utilizes EMR systems, Philips monitors, and Omnicell medication dispensing. The role involves working within a positive, team-driven culture with scrub color navy blue and free parking.
