Transplant - Nursing

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Transplant Nurse to join our specialized organ transplant care team. In this complex and rewarding role, you will care for patients throughout the transplant journey—from pre-operative evaluation to post-operative recovery and long-term follow-up. You will support individuals receiving kidney, liver, heart, lung, or multi-organ transplants, ensuring they receive safe, coordinated, and empathetic care.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting detailed assessments, monitoring for signs of rejection or infection, administering immunosuppressive medications, managing central lines, and supporting complex post-operative needs. You will also provide extensive patient and family education on medication adherence, lifestyle adjustments, infection prevention, and ongoing follow-up requirements. Accurate documentation, timely communication, and collaboration with transplant surgeons, coordinators, pharmacists, and social workers are essential to your role.

This position demands exceptional clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to remain calm in high-acuity situations. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment where precision, vigilance, and compassion are central to patient success.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Active RN license

- BLS certification (American Heart)

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience required for Olaro; individual facilities may require additional experience
