Registered Nurse – Emergency Room - Travel - (ER RN)

Pay Rate: $1851.00 - $1965.00
Required Qualifications
The Kula facility is a long term care facility which requires participation in care for Long Term Care, Acute Care/Short Term Rehab, IID/DD patients.
Floating expectations: Kula Hospital has 3 licenses and all staff are required to float into each area depending on need.
- LTC/Skilled Nursing - These are long-term care residents that require all levels of assistance with ADLs (bathing/showers, dressing, grooming, feeding, repositioning, transfers, etc.). Most residents are geriatric but there are some residents under the age of 65. All residents are expected to be out of bed daily to be able to participate in unit and facility activities. Many residents are at high risk for fall/injury and require safety supervision. There are a variety of chronic conditions in this population including but not limited to: dementia with or without behavioral disturbances, diabetes, CHF, kidney disease/failure, heart disease, post-stroke, chronic pain. Ratio of CNA staff to resident is 1:8 on day and evening shifts and 1:15 on nights.
Ratio of RN Staff 1:30 (with CNA ratio of 1:8 day & eve, 1:15 night)
- ICF/IID Unit - These are clients who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Clients range in age from 20s to 80s. It is a small unit of 9 clients but care is very specific and individualized to each clients abilities as this is required by the license. Ratio of CNA staff to client is 1:3 on day shift, 1:5 on evening shift and 1:9 on nights. Ratio of RN Staff 1:9.
- CAH Unit - These patients are acute care or short stay rehab patients. They require assistance with ADLs, supervision for safety and vital signs monitoring. Ratio of CNA staff to patient is 1:6 on all shifts. Ratio of RN Staff 1:9.
