Wound & Ostomy - Nursing

Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Wound & Ostomy Nurse to join our specialized skin and wound care team. In this expert-driven role, you will provide advanced assessment, treatment, and education for patients with complex wounds, pressure injuries, surgical sites, fistulas, and ostomies, ensuring they receive safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive wound evaluations, selecting and applying appropriate dressings, managing negative-pressure wound therapy, and monitoring healing progress. You will also provide specialized ostomy care, including stoma assessment, appliance fitting, troubleshooting complications, and teaching patients and families how to confidently manage ostomy equipment and skin care at home. Precise documentation, timely reporting of changes, and close collaboration with surgeons, hospitalists, dietitians, and rehabilitation specialists are essential components of this role.

This position requires strong clinical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to educate patients with sensitivity and clarity. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment where attention to detail, patient-centered communication, and steady clinical judgment are essential to promoting healing and independence.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Active RN license

- BLS certification (American Heart)

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience required for Olaro; individual facilities may require additional experience
