Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Manager for a 8 week travel assignment in Garden City, KS. Required Qualifications:

  • One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Manager
  • Valid RN license, ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance within state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Current ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PALS or ENPC
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The Cardiac Cath Lab Manager oversees the daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. This role involves managing staff, optimizing resource allocation, maintaining equipment, and implementing policies to enhance procedural effectiveness. The manager collaborates with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to improve patient outcomes while maintaining cost-effective operations. Additional responsibilities include training, performance evaluation, budgeting, and strategic planning to support department growth and technological advancements.

Essential Work Functions:

  • Provide leadership to cath lab staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling procedures, optimizing workflow, and managing patient throughput
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and quality assurance standards
  • Analyze operational data to assess department efficiency, identify trends, and implement process improvements
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance patient safety, staff performance, and procedural effectiveness
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to ensure well-coordinated patient care
  • Monitor patient outcomes and staff performance, identifying opportunities for quality improvement and enhanced patient experiences
  • Manage staff development, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action when necessary
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of specialized Cath Lab equipment, including fluoroscopy units, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and intravascular imaging tools (IVUS, OCT)
  • Participate in strategic planning to support department growth, technology advancements, and best practice initiatives
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper stock levels and adherence to cost-effective purchasing practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of cath lab operations and hospital goals
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills:

  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
  • Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
