Goldsboro is bordered by the Neuse and Little rivers, and is located within a daytrip of both Greenville and Raleigh. Its also home to the famous Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. The Cliffs of the Neuse State Park features fishing and hiking options as well as an educational nature museum. Golf fans will want to play a round at the recently renovated Goldsboro Municipal Course. Those interested in historic architecture can spend an afternoon at Waynesborough Historical Village, home to preserved buildings ranging from several different time periods.
