Travel Tele RN assignments at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME place you at a 929-bed teaching hospital and Level I trauma center. The hospital serves as a major referral center for Northern New England and offers advanced care across a wide range of specialties. On the R5 Tele unit, you will care for patients with respiratory conditions, medical telemetry needs, some surgical cases, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute on chronic medical conditions. To qualify, you need current RN licensure and recent experience in telemetry nursing. Essential skills include cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and strong communication abilities. Recommended skills include proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) and experience in acute care or trauma center settings.
