Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Nursing

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, calm, and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse to join our advanced critical care team. In this high-acuity environment, you will care for infants, children, and adolescents facing life-threatening illnesses, traumatic injuries, and complex medical conditions. Your role is essential in providing vigilant monitoring, rapid clinical assessment, and family-centered support during some of the most critical moments in a child’s healthcare journey.

Your core responsibilities will include managing ventilators and advanced life-support equipment, administering weight-based medications and continuous infusions, interpreting vital signs and lab results, and responding swiftly to changes in patient status. You will assist with invasive procedures, coordinate multidisciplinary interventions, and maintain strict adherence to safety, sedation, and infection-control protocols. Additionally, you will guide families with clear, compassionate communication, offering education and emotional support as they navigate the stress of critical care.

This role demands exceptional critical-thinking skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain composed in fast-paced, unpredictable situations. You will collaborate closely with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and a highly specialized care team dedicated to delivering the highest level of pediatric critical care. Requirements and Qualifications

- Active RN license

- BLS certification (American Heart)

- PALS American Heart

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience required for Olaro; individual facilities may require additional experience
