Registered Nurse / Gastroenterology Laboratory
Job Description
As a registered nurse - gastroenterology (RN), also called an endoscopy nurse, you`ll provide care for patients receiving treatment for Crohn`s disease, colon cancer, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive system disorders. Working at a hospital, GI specialist`s office or ambulatory surgery center, you`ll collaborate with the gastroenterologist and members of the GI care team. Your responsibilities may include assisting with endoscopic and GI procedures, X-rays, and CT scans, monitoring patient vitals, starting IVs and providing patient education. You`ll play an essential role in providing moral support and ensuring your patients receive safe, high-quality care.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
- Active RN license
