Social Services / Social Worker

As a healthcare social worker, also called a medical social worker, you will help patients and their families cope with and recover from illness. Working at a hospital, nursing home, outpatient center, home health, or other healthcare facility, you will advocate for patients, helping them secure the resources they need. You`ll collaborate with the care team and work with outside agencies to help fulfill patient needs. You`ll play a critical role in preventing illness, promoting health and wellness, and educating patients and families.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
• ASN, ADN, BSN or MSN required
