Agency Spotlight: Triage Staffing

Triage may have started small with just four employees, but growth came naturally once word got out about how we treat our travelers. What began with a single focus quickly expanded to cover multiple divisions because when we saw the need for frank and honest conversations about medical staffing, we listened and delivered.

This honesty and transparency has carried us far. Recognized as a top agency by RNvip—for the second year in a row after also placing in 2024—and also highlighted by other respected industry sources such as The Gypsy Nurse, BluePipes, and Glassdoor. Triage has also been recognized on our sister platform, Travel Nurse Gateway, earning placement in both 2024 and 2025.

Real Relationships, Real Results

With just a handful of employees in those early years, we were able to talk candidly with our travelers about what they wanted from a healthcare travel agency. And we haven’t stopped treating every interaction with that same honesty and candor. The Triage team prides itself on keeping things real. That means being upfront and honest with clients and candidates. The motto Real.Ready. shows up in everything we do.

Our recruiters focus on long-term relationships, rather than just getting a quick signature on a travel contract. In fact, our very first traveler, an ultrasound tech, still travels with Triage and her original recruiter. These two have been a Triage duo for nearly 20 years!

Keeping It Real in Every Assignment

By telling it like it is, we ensure that travelers end up where they want to go. And we’re going to be real. Real about expectations—both ours and yours. Real about how a decision you make today could affect your tomorrows. Real about how compensation actually works. Real about how great—or grating—your next supervisor may be.

Being real allows everyone at Triage to be ready. Ready to serve you with real honesty. So if that gig near the ocean is really no day at the beach, or that third shift comes with a second-class rate, we tell you. So you can be ready, too. And to help you remain ready for everything an assignment throws at you, we recently launched the Triage Traveler App. The app will help nurses and allied pros look for assignments, keep track of compliance and even submit timecards.

Growth and Recognition

Although Triage started small, we’ve kept on growing, acquiring Aspen Medical Staffing in 2019 and Kamana and Talemed in 2020. We acquired RTG Medical in 2024, adding long-term care jobs to our roster. Along the way, the team has been named one of the largest healthcare staffing firms by SIA and landed on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies nine times. Not too shabby.

Where We Call Home

Triage calls Omaha, Nebraska home, with a satellite office in Cincinnati, Ohio. But no matter where the work happens, Triage has earned a solid reputation as a staffing partner facilities trust and travelers love—recognized by RNvip for excellence.
